Anaerobic Digestion

Whether you want to integrate this process for waste treatment, biogas generation, biofertilizer production, or all the above, we have the solution. We worked closely with local industry to turn organic waste into monetized products such as biogas and fertilizer rather than being sold as low-cost products or directly disposed at landfills.

Lab Services

Lab analysis such as characterization, product development and laboratory trials are done via collaboration with UTP. We can analyze samples for properties such as (not limited to) mechanical, thermal, rheological, morphological, etc. Equipment available includes SEM, TEM, FTIR, XRD, XPS, GC, HPLC, AAS, TGA, UTM, ICP, CHNS and others.

Service Three

Composting

We design efficient and effective composting process to turn organic waste into useful compost. The final content of macro and micronutrients can be tailored into specific compositions based on target application. We supply composting agents such as African Nightcrawler (Eudrilus eugeniae), Red Wigglers (Eisenia fetida) and effective microbes. We build various composters too; some are integrated with vegetable towers. You might know that Humic Acid is an excellent plant’s growth promoter. But do you know that it is also a good insect repellent? Our composts are loaded with humic and fulvic acid to reduce reliance on chemical fertilizer and pesticides.

Eco-friendly Materials
Development.

Various industrial by-products containing aluminosilicate such as fly-ash from coal-fired power plants, mining slags from smelters and kaolin clay from clay mining can be developed into geopolymer materials, that are widely regarded as a greener OPC substitute. Other work under this theme includes biopolymers, PLA, green adsorbents and fertilizer coating.

Agricultural Practice

We provide advice to farmers for efficient land use for optimized crop yield. To increase the yield and overall profit, we train farmers to produce organic fertilizer from typical green wastes. This approach enables the farmers to reduce dependency of chemical fertilizers. We aim for zero-waste systems with the possibility of IoT integration.

There is no better way to promote sustainability than education. Our team has conducted various engagement sessions from community living to schools. When it comes to knowledge dissemination, no small audience is too small. Start small…start somewhere…. spread the message.
